Actions programme 2024-2026

This project is co-financed by the European Union and the Réunion Region. Europe is committed to Réunion through the ERDF fund.

La Réunion Développement's ‘2024-2026 Action Programme’ aims to boost the economy of Réunion while meeting the priorities of the 2021-2027 programme.
Action 1 – Regional economic intelligence.
La Réunion Développement is developing its observatory into an economic intelligence unit: updating a socio-economic database, regularly publishing economic reports and running thematic observatories. This approach supports public decision-making and the region's economic security.
Action 2 – Business support and financial engineering
The agency offers a public service providing reception, economic diagnostics and financial assistance to remove obstacles to the growth of SMEs, from creation to fundraising.
Action 3 – Ecological transition and attractiveness.
On the one hand, circular economy, eco-design and virtuous business model pathways support organisations and project leaders; on the other hand, economic promotion events raise the profile of Réunion to attract international investors and partnerships.

Expected objectives in relation to the ERDF.
The programme contributes directly to SDG 1.3 (sustainable growth and competitiveness of SMEs) through financial support and personalised assistance, and, across the board, to SDG 2.6 (circular economy) and SDG 2.1 (energy efficiency) by promoting the sustainable transformation of business models. Indicators such as the number of businesses supported, funding raised, organisations trained and increased visibility of sectors will measure these impacts.

Action Programme 2023

This project is co-financed by the European Union and the Réunion Region. Europe is committed to Réunion through the ERDF fund.

The ‘2023 Action Programme’ of La Réunion Développement, funded by the ERDF, aims to position the agency as the operational arm of La Réunion's regional economic development strategy. It has four main priorities:
- Enhancing the region's appeal through the Studio Réunion event and prospecting activities to attract investors and audiovisual projects.
- Supporting business financing by offering financial engineering services and monitoring project leaders at all stages of maturity.
- Accelerating the ecological transition by helping organisations adopt circular economy models and eco-design practices.
- Developing economic intelligence through an observatory that produces databases, economic reports and forward-looking analyses.

The project's objectives are aligned with SO RSO1. 3 of the 2021-2027 ERDF-ESF+ programme (sustainable growth and competitiveness of SMEs) and, indirectly, with the priorities of the circular economy, energy efficiency and sustainable tourism/culture, with indicators targeting the number of businesses supported, investments raised and visibility of the region.

Action Plan 2022

This project is co-financed by the European Union and the Réunion Region. Europe is committed to Réunion through the ERDF fund.

The project submitted under the 2021-2027 ERDF programme for Réunion to finance the 2022 Action Programme was structured around three main areas:
1. Monitoring information on the Reunionese economy: setting up and updating economic databases via the Nexstat observatory, producing economic reports and sectoral analyses, and developing interactive data visualisation tools.
2. International outreach: economic promotion activities (participation in trade fairs, production of communication materials, organisation of events), the ‘Invest in Reunion’ attractiveness strategy and prospecting for foreign investors.
3. Support for entrepreneurship: programmes tailored to different stages of business maturity (start-up or growth), including training, prototyping, financing support, integration into external ecosystems (e.g. Station F), and development of strategy and growth skills.

Overall objectives:
• Increase the competitiveness of the Reunionese economy,
• Support business creation and growth,
• Promote the region's international appeal,
